About Me

  • Health Coach, Reiki Practitioner and Director

    Four years ago I sustained a life changing injury from a fall. This left me with many issues including: extreme fatigue, speech problems, panic attacks, flashbacks and numerous other symptoms.

    I worked hard to get better, but I was being given general information that wasn’t always suitable for my unique situation.

    I came to the realisation that I was going to have to get myself out of this through being in control of my health and learning everything I could. And I did.

    I opened my mind to numerous therapy options along side conventional care. This included working with a Health Coach myself. In working with a Health Coach and alternative healing I made huge improvements in my wellbeing that has supported improvements in my symptoms.

    My biggest lesson has been that the best changes are the small ones because they are achievable and add up to being incredibly significant. Taking a step backwards because you have tried to make a huge, unsustainable change and failed is demoralising. I love how a small turn of the dial in our lives builds the platform for long term change.

    I don’t want anyone else to feel as lonely and frustrated as i did early on in my recovery. My personal mission is to provide the coaching and wellbeing support to help people move forward to the sustainable, healthy life they want.

    A health Coach provides support that is evidence and experience-based; in a combination of traditional and modern approaches cater to each individual client.
    Health Coaches empower clients to choose health-promoting behaviors that work for them. They raise awareness and offer support as clients move on their own terms toward the greater health they want for themselves.   • Health Coaches can play a key role in helping clients implement doctor-recommended preventive practices by guiding clients in meeting lifestyle goals that can help reduce the risk of certain lifestyle diseases.
    A Health Coach is different from a doctor, nutritionist, registered dietitian, counselor, or consultant, but by working with other providers, they can offer more comprehensive and meaningful support than any one profession alone.
    Most doctors don’t have the time in an appointment to provide the on going support ad guidance around changes to diet and lifestyle that is bespoke to the patient’s needs. A Health Coach bridges that gap by working with the person to achieve the recommended changes prescribed by a physician.

  • Allostasis’ is a term to describe when your body creates stability through change, for example, adjusting your body temperature. When I first came across the word and looked up the meaning, the simplicity of ‘creating stability through change’ really stuck with me. It summed up the path I had taken in my recovery from injury. Small changes that helped return stability and health to my body and life.
